The NBMS is looking for a Director of Corporate Services!

The New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) is the most important voice for doctors in New Brunswick, providing province-wide representation and advocacy for physicians in every sector of practice. NBMS is where physicians come together to advise and negotiate decisions of government, put their collective weight behind important advocacy issues for the public, obtain professional development, find support, and to seek out a collegial atmosphere where they can share concerns and experiences. As a provincial division of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), NBMS strives to create a unified medical profession, and proudly has a long standing history of patient advocacy and health policy development.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Corporate Services is responsible for providing leadership, direction, management and vision to the operations, administrative, reporting and people systems, to ensure financial strength and operational efficiency. In addition to managing corporate finances, member information systems, facilities, and human resources functions, you will deliver on a core purpose of NBMS by overseeing member funding programs. As an integral member and the financial expert of the senior management team, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction and business planning of NBMS. You will manage relationships and contracts with external service providers and you will lead and motivate a talented corporate services team.

As the ideal candidate, you bring strong financial, IT, and human resource management experience, ideally paired with your degree in business administration and accounting designation. You are recognized as someone who is not only highly organized and financially efficient, but also technology savvy. You have exceptional interpersonal skills and have proven your ability to successfully build strong working relationships with your colleagues, internal and external clients, and third party contract partners. A proactive, forward-thinking leader, you manage day-to-day operations with the big picture in mind and you are always finding ways to do things better. During your successful career as a corporate services professional, you have earned the respect of others for your broad business acumen, your natural ability to work co-operatively and your highly effective financial management skills. Bilingualism is considered an asset.
