Physicians ask New Brunswickers not to put their health on hold

The New Brunswick Medical Society is urging New Brunswickers to continue to manage their health during the COVID-19 pandemic and to seek care when they need it. Physician offices across New Brunswick remain open and available to help manage acute and chronic conditions and injuries, review test results, prescription renewals, and other illnesses.

New Brunswickers have made progress with the number of active cases but we need to remain vigilant by respecting physical distancing and other measures set by Public Health. But it is important that citizens not let their health suffer during these challenging times.

Many physicians are offering virtual visits via phone or video conference in place of regular in-office visits for routine medical issues that can be managed remotely. For in-person care, physicians are following public health advice to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission in their office and keep patients safe.

The NBMS has launched a website and promotional campaign to remind New Brunswickers that we are here for you. Please, don’t put your health on hold.
