Statement on the on-call program

The current on-call program funds one on-call rotation for each nursing home in NB. This arrangement has been in place since the inception of the on-call program in 2003. The formula used to determine how many hours per week a physician will spend visiting the nursing home is quite dated. The needs of nursing home residents have likely changed. We would be pleased to meet with the Province in an expedited manner to discuss updating the agreement.
